Studio No Frame is a research-based practice of spatial and visual experience, based in Berlin. It works across spatial design, scenography and exhibition architecture, with artists, cultural institutions, project spaces and universities.
Its structure is flexible and its team is mixed by design. The practice values collective thinking, experimental methods and process-oriented making.
Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), Istanbul Modern, Museum Ludwig, MAXXI Rome, Pera Museum, SALT, La Biennale di Venezia, the Istanbul Biennial, the Istanbul Design Biennial and the Timișoara Biennial. Artists we have worked with include Abbas Zahedi, Ahmet Öğüt, Amy Lien & Enzo Camacho, Ayşe Erkmen, Füsun Onur, Gülsün Karamustafa, Leman Darıcıoğlu, Monira Al Qadiri, Raul Walch and Tomás Saraceno.
The studio is led by Yelta Köm, an Istanbul-born architect and artist who has lived and worked in Berlin for over a decade. His practice centres on spatial interventions and temporary setups built with institutions, artists and communities.
We work with a rotating group of designers, researchers and production managers, and we bring in collaborators to suit each exhibition rather than fitting every show to a fixed team.
